Ⅱ.Main Functions

1Automatic Charge: Prepayment Mode or After payment Mode

Prepayment mode (Pay before use)The initialized water volume is zero with valve in off mode. The user registers an account, buys water and receives a user card at the service center. Inserting user card into the corresponding meter, the meter can read the purchased water volume and turn on the valve to supply water. When the purchased water volume is used up, the valve will close. The user must purchase water at the service center again after which he can the user card into meter and repeat the process like the first time.

Pay-after-use modeThe initialized water volume is zero with valve in off mode. The administrator at the service center sets the maximum consumable water volume for user, and input the volume into the user card. The user then s the card into the corresponding meter, and the meter will read the usable water volume and open valve to supply water. When the usable water volume is used up, the valve will close. The user must pay water fee at the service center and acquire more consumable water volume, after which he can the user card into meter and repeat the process like the first time

2Incremental water price

The meter has a built-in clock and it can store 12 months’ water consumption volume. Inserting the user card into meter and the meter can write each month’s consumed water volume into the card. When the user purchases water every time, the system will automatically read each month’s water consumption volume and calculate how much is over-spent according to the incremental water rates. The overspent amount is payable when the user purchases water next time.

3Issue new card, and transfer data from old meter to new meter

Every water purchase using the user card can only have one successful transaction with the corresponding water meter. If the user card is lost, it can be replaced with a new card according to the records in the management function of the software database. The previous water volume and data will not be lost or repeated. When replacement of water meter is needed, the transfer card into the old meter to retrieve data, and then it into the new meter so that data can be transferred to it.

4Both mechanical and LCD display

The water meter keeps the digital wheel and pointer of the mechanical water meter, and also provides LCD display. Even when LCD display has problems, the cumulative water volume can still be read by the digital wheel and pointer.
